NYC hotel & restaurant recs-name your favs
What are your favorite NYC restaurants and hotels (for those who have stayed overnight in Manhattan)?
What type of food do they serve?

Hotels: In order of my favorite:
1. Waldorf.
2. The Pierre
3. The Trump International Hotel
Restaurants:
1. La Caravelle
2. One if by Land Two if By Sea
3. La Bernadin
Could go on and on

I don't know any hotels.
As for restaurants, here are a few I like
1. Baltzther (I know I am spelling that wrong) I loved this place, it was really enjoyable to go there.
2. Fresco-A Scotto restaurant. My family first went there in January of 2002 and loved it, we go back for special occiasions a lot. I also think it is cute to Rosanna Scotto working in her familiy's restaurant.
3. Dos Caminos. There are two, but I've only been to the one by my office on Park and 26th Street.
4. Heartland Brewery. There are a couple, I like the one in Union Square, its a good time with good beer and good food.
I will try to think of more....

Restaurants_ Jasmine's- Fantastic Thai food.
Nick and Stef's awesome steak house.
Atlantic Grill- Yummy.

hotel: SoHo Grand
Restaurants- Nobu, Ben Bensons (for steak), Spice Market (even though the service stinks) and the new Chinatown Brassiere.

"W- the court" was very nice- smaller feel but great rooms
i love le cirque, 21 club, ideya, blue water grill, blt steak to name a few off the top of my head

I can tell you where NOT to stay in NYC- Hotel Beacon....unless you're into bedbugs!
