Had sono today but a little problem...
I went for another sonogram today and although most everything looks ok, they found blood in my uterus. My doctor says that it happens sometimes and that sometimes its just the embryo trying to embedd itself into the wall. I havent had any spotting but now I am scared. When I looked it up, I cant find anything. She said if I spot to come in right away but its probably nothing. Nothing? Blood in your uterus? Has anyone experienced this before? I am 8 weeks.

Oh, my prayers are with you, I have never heard of that BUT I am new to all of this. Take it easy this weekend, and maybe go back in a week to have it checked??

Yes she said no heavy lifting and try to rest with my feet up, I go back next Friday for another sono to have it checked so we shall see. She said it happens SOMETIMES and that it doesnt always lead to miscarriage but just to hear those words, scared me to death. And when you get no info upon looking it up is even more frustrating!

I had this when I was about 7 weeks or so. The RE I was seeing at the time actually was very reassuring and said that frequently it just goes away on its own-- sure enough, 2 weeks later no blood was visible on the sono! Don't get me wrong though, I was still freaked out!
I was told to avoid workouts and heavy lifting, but that was it.
I'm 32 weeks now, I'll be thinking of you!

How far along are you?
There is definitely a thing called "implantation spotting" when the embryo implants itself into the lining of the uterus and that can cause spotting.
I know that spotting in early pregnancy can be very normal...and also around the time your period is due, some women bleed a little

Answer
Usually we do see blood in the uterus in early pregnancy due to "old blood" that has remained in the uterus from a prior period. If it is not interfering with the fetus and you are not showing signs of vaginal bleeding, don't worry about it. The next sonogram will show if it has dissipated.

I had it with my first pregnancy, and my doc told me that most likely it will just pass (not to be concerned, just call him if I spotted) or it will just dissove into the lining of the uterus and be fine.
Well, nothing ever came of it and I had a healthy baby boy 8 months later.

My sister had spotting and went for a sonogram and found a blood in the uterus. It was called a hematoma. It dissolved itself and went away. They said it was common but of course she was freaked out until the next sonogram.
Don't stress, if they aren't worried you shouldn't be either! Congrats on your pregnancy!!
