They finally called with my results..

They got back to me. ALthough it wasnt a doctor (she was too busy) but everything was not normal like they told me in the first place. Apparently I am borderline insulin resistant and they want me to start the Metformin right away. I have no problem with that and was actually hoping for that scenario. But...she also told me that my liver enzyme tests came back abnormal and because of that, the doctor wants to see me in 2 weeks instead of in October. When I asked why this could be or what it was, she said she wasnt sure and that the doctor would answer all of my questions when I went for the next appointment. Im mad about that too but right now I am more worried what wrong with my liver! Is this a part of pcos and insulin resistance?? I am going crazy looking for info now. I cant win.

Basically they want to retest you, when your liver enzymes are high because next time, they may not be. Liver enzymes show up high many times, and then other times they don't. It's actually fairly common...and yes, most people with high insulin or high glucose count, end up with some sort of high liver enzyme count.

Most definitely start the metformin, it will help straighten out your cycles. You might be annovulatory now and with the metformin, you may start to ovulate !!!!! It will also help you lose weight. Unfortunately, a lot of women with insulin resistance, have pcos. The good news is, with weight loss you can actually sometimes correct that.
