Re: Turkey Sandwich?

I was told no deli meats either. My vote is still for the MD. It will be worth the walk, and you'll be glad you did.

I was told deli meats were okay as well. I have only been eating turkey sandwhiches though. I just can't give them up ... they are my all time favorite.

same here! Fresh turkey should be no big deal, it's actually better for you than mcd's. Mcdonalds food has ALOT of sodium. I would check nutrition facts online before you go.

My doctor said deli meats are ok as long as they are good quality like Boar's Head. she did say to stay away from fatty measts like salami.

I lived on turkey sandwiches during my first pregnancy. My doc never told me that I couldjn't have cold cuts, he said anything is fine in moderation.

I have to say that I ate everything with both my kids and they were and are now, very healthy.
I would be cautious and cut down but not go crazy.

Re: Turkey Sandwich?

Deli meat is fine (in moderation), if you buy it from a deli just make sure it's clean and meat is fresh. I always nukked the meat for 30-45 seconds if I bought a sandwich from a deli or subway/quiznos
