Opinions Needs on Note to SIl-- Memory Page for her Bridal Shower

So we are doing this memory page for SIL. I really don't have any "memories" with her-- and the only pic I have of the two of us is from my wedding last year-- so, I created a pretty scrap book page with this one pic and I plan to write something that basically states the sentiment I want to get across.. here is what I have-- let me know if this is cool.. I read to DH and he likes it, but ya know, I need a girl's opinion!! Note sure if the beginning is too negative.

While we do not have many years of memories to share with each other, I am so happy that you were a special part of my wedding and I look forward to being a part of yours. I am excited to share with you all of the wonderful things we have ahead of us and growing closer as sisters. I look forward to creating future memories over the years of dinners together with Jared and Matt, babysitting each other’s kids, family vacations and ultimately seeing our nieces and nephews get married themselves.

As the craziness of the last year unwinds, and as you prepare for your wedding, please know that I am always here for you.

But, the only thing i could think of (b/c i know what you mean about the beginning), is maybe opening it up with something more like:

While we've jsut started making memories together....

or something along those lines?
