Shower Chair
I need to get a shower chair for myself (having surgery in 12 days on my leg...cast and all for 8 weeks)
I went to Bed Bath & Beyond, but the only ones they had had no back, and I want a back. I tried 2 surgical supply stores, but they had VERy expensive ones. I saw a Rubbermaid one online for abour 40 bucks, but didnt want ot have to pay shipping
Any ideas?
TIA!!

Re: Shower Chair
This maybe a stupid idea - but can't you just get a plastic chair?
I do have that plastic thing with the rubber lining that goes over your cast. if you need it, FM me.

Re: Shower Chair
Eckerd has them. My grandmother got one of hers there. If you don't see them out, ask at the pharmacy. They might have them in the back or worst case they can order one for you.
ETA: Ask your doctor for a prescription for one. Your insurance will most likely cover it since you need it for so long. My grandmother got both of hers covered by insurance.

That's not a bad idea - and probably more comfortable

Re: Shower Chair
My mom had one for a long time after back surgery.....she got it at a surgical supply store. But, she also had one for the upstairs bathroom when she started feeling better but not 100% -- that was just a white outdoor chair....and it perfect!

Re: Shower Chair
Yeah, I can't see why those white outdoor chairs wouldn't work, as long as it fits in the tub. You just might want to leave the curtain/shower door open so it dries out well, but you'd have to do that with a regular shower chair anyway.
