Sorry if this has been posted, but what are you doing for NEW YEARS?
DH and I were on our HM last year and in Fla. the year before. This will be our first NYE at home since we've met. I was looking for some restaurants nearby to see if there was something going on, but so far nothing.
Not really looking for suggestions, just curious about what others are doing, and if you've even made plans yet!

I know you live upstate now right? We are going to the Governors in Levittown. They have a great deal. They have a comedy show and dinner. Its fun. Its our third year doing it.

Yeah, we're up in the sticks!  Funny, I worked 2 NYEves at Chuckles in Mineola and it was fun. I like Governor's too, but it's a little far. I should see if there are any comedy clubs up this way.

Things are good- we really like it here but we're at the point where it's now a little lonely because we don't know anyone, and we seldom go out.

Megan, its $80 and it includes the show, dinner,open bar and tax and gratuity. Its a good deal and we have had a lot of fun with it.
Bob Nelson is the headliner this year.
You can go to the 7:15 show so you can go back with your friends to see the ball drop.

We've gone out every year...from cruises to clubs and restaurants in the city....finally this year we're having a party at home.

Going to a friend's house party. Last year we also went to a friend's house party, and the yaer before went to a bar in the city for a set price thing. I prefer to be at someone's house--I just like being surrounded by my friends and not people I don't know. Plus, it saves a lot of $! If our friends weren't having a party, we were going to rent a hotel room around here with a jacuzzi and celebrate ourselves and order room service for breakfast the next morning! I would've liked that just as well.

DH is having lasik eye surgery two days before,l so we want to do something quiet. We're planning on going out to an amazing dinner at a steakhouse (very expensive but we do it once or twice a year) and then maybe to a friend's house. I told him that since I was going off my diet for the one night, that I wanted IHOP the next morning and then I'd go back to dieting!
