Ehh, so far, I haven't had a problem with anything, really. Everything seems to wash pretty well. Although, she does seem to get longer and longer everyday, so I don't get to use her clothes for too long!

Old Navy is ok too but not as good as Gap
Carters (for me) pills
Gymboree (pants) shrink

Old Navy, Osk Kosh, Children's place. I do have Carters for pj's and some do pill, not allf of them.

I find that Old Navy does pill and shrinks a bit as well. Sonoma from Kohl's also shrinks and is cut very small, plus the fabric comes out hard feeling and not soft since I don't use fabric softener with her clothes.
I have been happy with Carter's, Gap, and the Children's place I really love too. I haven't had problems with Carter's the way people are saying and I actually love them because they are cut big so she doesn't grow out of them as fast as some of the other brands.

Koala Kids from BRU, Carters, GAP........I wash everything in a cold gentle cycle and hang mostly everything up.

and do you find that certain items wash better than others even though they are the same brand?
personally, so far my hilfiger clothing has kept the best...
interesting b/c the only hillfiger outfit I got came out of the 1st wash b4 baby even got to wear it with a hole in it. 
ETA we wash everything of hers cold gentle so I've yet to notice a difference other than the TH stuff above.

My ON onsies haven't shrunk as much as the Children's Place ones I bought the same time - but CP doesn't shrink as much as Carters and Gerber
We have a great pair of Kenneth Cole jeans that have taken a beating and are still holding up (H&M jeans have holes in the knees)

Gap, Carters, Little Me, Osh Kosh, Old Navy, Gymboree, some Kohl's brands... They all wash well, maybe it's because I use a front load washer on hand wash cold cycle and line dry.
