Baby's room -- is it bad...

if I don't get it painted/done until after the baby is here. We're not finding out what we're having but I would like to have the room done in something more than gender neutral colors. If I do it neutral and then ask DH to redo or "fix" it after the baby is here, he will KILL me. I figure, the baby will be in with us for the first few months anyway, so maybe it won't be so bad if it's not done. What do you think?

that's exactly what we're doing. We're painting when we get home and I will decorate the first few weeks/months when the baby is still in our room.

Thanks so much ladies. You made me feel so much better. The last thing I want is to start out as a negligent mother!!!

We aren't finding out if it's a boy or a girl either, so I'm just going to buy furniture and have boy/girl decorating themes in mind. After the baby is born, then I'll decorate.
No need to have everything done beforehand!

we chose yellow becuase we are having a girl now and the room will be cheery and can add color to the walls and when we have the next baby we dont have to repaint the room we would just change the decor.

Not bad at all! We are actually moving into a house right around the due date so we definitely will not have the babys room done.
