need help with baby shower centerpiece ideas. we have 6 tables and need to made or get inexpensive centerpieces. ladies what did u have or have seen at a baby shower. thanks

I threw my sister her shower in the spring. So i bought tin watering cans from the local craft store, and filled them with fresh sunflowers. Then i tied balloons to the watering cans.

You can do cheap teddy bears w balloons. Ummm big bottles filled with something. When in doubt candles :) You can always pickup pillars candles and arrange them with a wreath around them or up in a pretty holder. We found wrought iron candle stands at Maces for cheap. Good Luck

Is there a theme to the Shower?
What is her nursery theme if any?
Maybe you can create something from that?

andrea, we know its a girl so purple and greens no real theme
the nursery is butterflies
i was thinking and saw this at a bridal shower but dont think it goes together, getting over sized glass and putting fish in it but the more i think about it it has nothing to do with a baby. i need help.

One of the last showers I went to the had a little cake made up for the centerpieces.
And that ended up being the dessert served at the end of the shower.

thats a cute idea. they already ordered a sheet cake since we are having 50+ women.

You can get creative with balloon centerpieces. You can get butterfly mylar balloons if you want to keep with the butterfly nursery and add latex balloons in the color theme. Or do different mylar balloon animals with the latex balloons.

You could also make diaper cakes and use those as centerpieces.

I found some pics on ebay for you the diaper cake is very easy and you can make it any size you want and mom to be gets to take home all the cakes...

The last one is a diaper cupcake...

The diaper cake CP idea is great idea!
Maybe you can decorate them w/ chocolate pops (w/ purple & green chocolate), (you can use butterflies, baby rattles, etc... as the molds).
Attach some balloons to it for extra "flare" and you're good to go!

I like the diaper cake idea, you can use purple and green ribbon, and they are probaly inexpensive to make.

thanks girls i went to michaels craft store and created my own masterpiece. im going to put it together tomorrow and take a picture.

Ok this is what i ended up doing for the centerpieces. I bought hurricane candle holders, pillar candles, potpourri and holiday ribbon and heres the end result.

i didnt want to spend alot of money and since the shower is after thanksgiving i wanted a holiday theme with favors and give aways plus lunch for 50+ women it adds up pretty quickly

Just be careful the potpourri doesn't catch fire, keep the candle wicks cut very low. (I'm sure you already know this).

i didnt put too much potpourri in it becuase of flamable reasons. thought it was wierd the bag didnt say caution flameable. i had fun doing it my first glue gun project and i didnt burn my fingers.
