Has anybody had a pituitary tumor?
An MRI just confirmed why my hormones are going out of whack. I'd really like to hear from anybody that has had one, whether it be posted or through FM. I'm at a loss for what's going to happen next. I know there are 3 options: medicine, radiation, surgery.

I had the MRI to test for that too, due to high levels of prolactin. Turns out I didn't have one, but I did learn about the options from my endocrinologist beforehand-- they really only treat with radiation/surgery in the most severe cases. In the vast majority of cases, leaving the tumor there is totally harmless except for the hormonal disturbance it causes, and they just treat with medication. I took a med called Dostinex, you take that one twice a week. I had no side effects.

They tried Dostinex last year and it didn't help me. Now that the tumor is confirmed, I'm wondering what else there is.

My sil has a p tumor (she is currently pregnant with twins!) I will call her tomorrow and ask her what medication she is that helped regulate her hormones...maybe its something diffferent than the one that you already tried.
Know that it does stink but with the proper treatment and such you CAN get preggo.
