Overall pretty well. I sold items that I felt were absolute JUNK on there.

Well, I did everything, DH did nothing.. if it was a female coming over to see something I didn't care.. if it was male, I would prefer DH to be home.. but really, these people just want the furniture.
I turned my mom on to it as well- as she has sold a couple of things as well.. even sold her car!

Hell... if they were willing to come to my home to take away large items of absolute garbage.... I was all for it.  Better them move it than me.... thats what I say. 
Craigslist is the best place to sell furniture.

I got rid of stuff (not sold it) on Craigslist. I would bring it in to work & meet them somewhere.
We did sell a ton of stuff from my grandmother's house. My parents met them at the house - but then again my grandmother wasn't living there anymore.

I have bought a lot of furniture on Craig's List and I have sold a lot from it as well.
All painless and very easy. Met nice people and we have also rented our PA house via Craigs List as well.

I actually had a bad experience on here 2 weeks ago. I was selling the new tmobile MDA phone. Unfortunately, I was scammed into mailing the phone to another location and in return the lady whom seemed to me so trustworthy sent me really good (bogus) money orders so I lost out. I've contacted craigslist about it and they have not agreement to help out in any sort of way. I've also contacted yahoo to advice them someone is using email address with them to scam people.
So good luck! I doubt I'll be doing business on there any longer.

We did. It was great - got rid of an ugly eyesore in 3 days for twice what we asked.
ETA - DH did it himself - and it was a big old nautilus set and free weights, so the guy came and picked it up.

Craigs List gives an option to anonymize your email address- but once you return the email-- I think it shows up as your own.
I just have to say again-- i LOVE Craig's List-- I also got my new job through a recruiter that saw my resume on there..

I sold my car.
I did have some shady people emailing and calling me...but in the end it worked out ok. Just becarful of scammers.

my sister had season tickets to the Yankees last year. she couldn't make all the games so she sold them on Craigslist, she made out very well.
a co-worker of mine sold her 37" TV (the old style that weighs 500 pounds) and some college kid from Hofstra went to her house to pick it up.
I've only heard good things.

I love it I sold some Moutain Bike we had and a few printers.
My brother sellings things on there like crazy surfboards, bike, boat engines etc. these people came from all over!!

I sold 2 cars, a refrigerator, a motorcycle and ... I think that's it. I bought a time share. Everything went great, people showed up with cash, and I kept my big black dog in view!!

We sold our boat and DH's old car.
We have also found our first and current tenant there.
We are currently trying to sell my car.
We bought my treadmill there also.
All experiences ave been great!
