Certification ? for Teachers

I want to get certified as a gifted and talented teacher. Does anyone know where I can take the courses I need online? I know I need 12 credits and then I have to pass the test.

You can take them through CITE. There are def. some this summer. You will need courses like Schoolwide Enrichment. The test is a CST but in Gifted Education. The test was friggin hard. There is only one guide for it and it's online. There is no Baron's book like there are tons for ATS-W and the LAST. Bone up on Renzulli, The triad model, Gardner's multiple inteliigences and Bloom's taxonomy. There are also tons of questions on high school and guidance, which is one reason why it is a difficult test. If you're el. ed, you don't know much about older grades and what to do as a guidance counselor. Anyway, when it comes time to take the test, FM because I can email you a good example of what they are looking for in the essay. That is half the battle and knowing what they want is a help.
