Lamaze - East End
Hello! I am looking for information on Lamaze classes offered on the East End. I live in Calverton and wanted to go somewhere local. My doctor is in Smithtown, so that is far for me to travel (if I don't have to) for classes. Any suggestions?

Re: Lamaze - East End
I tried looking for you, and really didn't come up with much. I am in Riverhead, and the only program I know of is through Hampton Ob/Gyn. But you can call the International Lamaze Society, and they will give you a list of instructors. 631-360-6667.

What about the hospital where you will deliver?

Re: Lamaze - East End
I will be delivering in Peconic Bay Medical in Riverhead - (Formerly known as Central Suffolk), and they are offering the lamaze/child birthing classes free for patients of the hospital, but you can still go if you are not a patient. You will just have to pay a fee.

Re: Lamaze - East End
Thanks everyone! I got a great response. I will (hopefully) deliver at St. Catherines in Smithtown. I think highly of the hospital and I know one of the ladies in the Maternity Ward. We are willing to make the trip for the deilvery, but want something close to home for Lamaze. I will check out Peconic Bay as well as St. Charles. I appreciate all your reponses. I will always take more info if anyone has it though! Thanks and enjoy your day!
