so today was my 39 week appointment...and there's a little progress...
one day shy of 39 weeks, I went to the ob today and took a non-stress test - which they forgot to mention I would be taking today...lol...probably better since I would have worried!....she did great but I am definitely not contracting at all....I am also only a fingertip dilated...which isn't bad since three and a half days ago at last week's appt, I was not at all but at this rate getting to full dilation will take forever 
b/c shes not huge or anything - at least they think! - I go again next tuesday on my due date for a sono, bfp (don't remember what it stands for!) and estimated birth weight again....but please hope that I go before then!!!...and only then will they figure out what to do if she doesn't pop out...I know everyone says it, but I don't want to wait anymore!!!

ooh..and the funniest thing, I mentioned how I am impatient and don't want to have to wait past the 19th to the dr...and how funny some of the old wives tales are on how to bring it on....and he looks at me (and in a dr voice) and says "well, ***ual intercourse is the only one I would really recommend as it can work, it has to do with the prostaglandins relseased" - i nearly  ......its one thing to come on here and ask questions about mucous and discharge and share things I would normally be mortified to talk about...but to have a dr give me s e x advice......it cracked me up...and turned me  !!
