Update...my friend who had an anniversary yesterday but is divorced:
we ended up just hanging out at her house...drinking tea and talking for a few hours, and "he" didn't come up for quite a long time. I think it was good for our friendship to just be alone and have some girl time, too, since lately both our lives have been a little hectic. I think she appreciated having one of her former bridesmaids actually remember and be with her.
