Really gross gym clothes question

Okay this is a little disgusting but I am curious to see what other people do.

After I get back from the gym my clothes are soaked with sweat. I dont want to put them in the hamper because wet doesnt do well with enclosed spaces you know what I mean?

I have been just leaving it on the floor until they are dry. DH tells me to put them on the clothes drying rack but I dont want to put smelly dirty clothes where I put my clean clothes!

I have no where else to hang them - what to do????

Re: Really gross gym clothes question

I put them straight in the washing machine and usually do laundry every 3 days or so.

Re: Really gross gym clothes question

what about hanging them on the shower rod until they dry or getting a seperate hamper/laundry bag for them?

I live in apartment and just always put them in my hamper, but I have an open hamper so maybe it's getting air, I never had a problem.

I more hate the fact that it can be 2 weeks before the sweaty clothes is washed, which can't be good for the elastic/sweat.

I know. I am not even going to discuss what my, once white, sports bras look like. I guess that's why most of my clothes are not blacks and brigth colors.
