Spinoff....do you like or hate the bug sound at night? Poll
Yesterday I was eating dinner with DH outside on the deck. I noticed how LOUD the crickets are! They are sooo loud i could get a headache!
So he said to me, "Crickets are a sound of the summer...you are the only person in the world that I have ever heard complain about those noises at night."
SO I am asking you all....."Am I the only person that hates crickets??"

The noise, the actual creature it is. I think I killed one the other day..it was on my door 
ETA: I also dont like the chiqueta's either!! Those blind bastards scare me and then fly into me which is worse. Those you are hearing now too!

I think at certain times of year they are louder than others - like right now. They were SOOO loud the other night. When they are really loud it's annoying but usually I'm okay with it.

I'm from upstate, so I'm used to and LOVE the sounds of the crickets & frog at night, but when I'm sleeping...only white noise!

I live in Queens where you hardly hear ANY OF THAT so when I go upstate or pa, it drives me insane. I hate the bug sounds. My dh on the other hand, lived in pa for years and he LOVES when he hears anything like that. It freaks me out!

Thats the one thing I REALLY miss about living on LI, the sound of the cicadas at night. I wish someone did a CD of that, I miss it sooo much. Here all I hear at night is Bhangra Music, wankers in boom boom cars, the neenaw of police sirens and the milk float in the morning...

Love it!  Reminds me of summer nights as a kid swimmin in the pool and eating outside.

I can't stand them!! I had crickets in my bedroom one year and I spent most of the summer sleeping on the couch. I don't even like the sound of them!!
