Free "Mommy & Me" type GTG?
After today's GTG --- I was thinking and AJA just Fm'd me and was thinking the same thing...
What would you guys think about a free mommy & me type thing .... if we met on the same day of each week --- in a park (we can discuss meeting places later).
We can bring picnic lunches, blankets, favorite toys and just let the babies play while we talk and have a good time?
There were quite a few of us in the Nassau area and the location was fairly convinient for everyone, I think. There were others who couldn't go ... and maybe would like to make it to something like this.
It would be nice too because there wouldn't be such a set time frame and some weeks there might be a lot of people, some weeks less...
Anyone interested?

How many people are good with wednesdays? We had a good turnout today -- so it seems like a good day to me, but really any day is good for me for the remainder of the summer -- Until I go back to work.
And on rainy days we could always do lunch again, or walks around the malls...

I usually work on Wed. but if I have enough notice I may be able to take 1/2 day like I did today.. I am off on Mondays if anything goes on that day..

Wednesday was great for me but
Mondays and Thursdays aren't good Any other day is fine.

Sounds great. I'm free until September too. Tuesday is the only day that's not so great for us since we have Music Together that day.

If you guys could vote on the poll that I created today about this -- that'll help us to pick a day that is good for the most amout of people -- and if we do this every week then hopefully some weeks people can join us even if it's normally not hte best day for them!

Just a quick suggestion, why not contact a church or synogogue and find out if you can borrow or rent a room for your GTG. This way you could set up a weekly babygroup. All you will need to do is bring some toys and bring yourself some tea or coffee and voila, you make your own baby group. This way you don't have to worry about your strollers or putting the baby down.
All my babygroups are in church halls and (as you know) I am a total babygroup addict!!!

I was thinking the Levittown-East Meadow-Westbury area since we met around there yesterday and it was a good location...
However if you guys have a place in mind, FM me and we'll try to pick something that is the best for everyone.
I don't want to post places on the thread, just for our own safety.
