Pi Day Help (Math teachers)
I have 5 8th grade Algebra and Pre-Algebra classes and as a first year teacher I would love to have a Pi Day celebration.
I want to bring in food, but I'm trying to think of the "cheapest" pi's possible.
Any suggestions???
I don't want to spend a fortune.

Re: Pi Day Help (Math teachers)
I am still not sure about bringing in food. I think I am going to bring in round items and string and let the kids discover the relationship between the diameter and circumference.
There's also a very strong chance that my students will be taking the NYS Math Assessment that day, so I might not even be teaching that day at all.

I teach in Florida, and the week before we have the same type of test. I have worked them hard for the past 3 weeks and even so for the upcoming 2 1/2 weeks. I really want to reward them for working so hard with prepping for their FCAT exam.
