Question about crawling babies

Julia is starting to crawl - she will be 6 months next week.

Where do you let them crawl?

Do you use playmats for your DC to play on/crawl? Which ones?

I really don't want to have her crawl on our floors (I know she will eventually) - and although I do my best to keep them clean - I don't want her putting her mouth on the floor and picking up dust etc....you know what i mean

What do u suggest?

Once she gets a hang of crawling she'll probably not stay in one place like a playmat at ALL. In the beginning we just locked off the living room so she could only crawl in there and babyproofed that room. But she started being able to push the blockades out of the way so now she just crawls everywhere. The only place she doesn't crawl i the bathroom.

I just make sure I sweep daily, mop every few days and probably vacuum every 2-3 days.
