Picking a Pediatrician and their hospital affilitation..
We are in the process of picking a pediatrician, but was wondering if the doctor has to be affiliated with the hospital you are delivering in? I didn't know if we should limit our search to just those doctors, or if it really didn't matter..

Nope they don't. Mine didn't with my son
ETA: You will just use their staff ped.

I was in this situation. If your ped isn't affiliated with the hospital you are delivering in, your OBGYN will set you up with the staff ped. I ended up switching to the staff ped and driving further to go see him because I loved him. I delivered at Good Sam.
