Gift idea for work friend
A woman in our department just got a new job and will be leaving next week. We all want to chip in and get her a nice gift, either jewelery or something else that she will have for a long time. There will be about 7 of us chipping in. The amount hasn't been determined yet since we don't know what we're getting.
Does anyone have any ideas?

how about a generous gife certificate to a really nice restaurant that she likes?
how about something silver from tiffanys or a vera bradley weekend bag, or a beauty gift set from sephora
im not so good at sentimental stuff though so i may be of no help to you

I think I would do a pretty silver necklace from Tiffany too. I think most people like getting the blue box!

We got the Tiffany tear drop for someone at work a couple years ago, but I think she just bought that for one of the professors in our program who is leaving. Would that be weird?

When I left my job of 7 years in January, the office took me out and gave me a silver initial necklace and B&B Works stuff, but the most special gift I got was a picture of the whole office in one of those frames you can write on and everyone wrote a good wish message to me in different color markers. It's in my office at home and I look at it everyday as I type away on my computer.
