BTDT moms...Is this baby acne?
DD wakes up with acne/rash  all over her face today. I noticed it yesterday afternoon and thought it was prickly heat (it was not that bad just a few little dots on her face). I don't know what it is and I don't want to call the dr. on a Sunday afternoon if it is nothing. She only has it on her face and ears, no where else. She does not have a fever and is eating and pooping normally. What is this? TIA

Alex has the same thing on his cheeks (he is 6 weeks). He's had it for almost a week. I am not sure how he got it but I have been putting on him Aveeno Baby Moisturizer and it is getting better.

I gave her a bath this morning with the Aveeno Baby creamy bath wash and I put a little of the aveeno lotion on her face and it looks the same.

somebody on here told me to wash the face with johnsons baby shampoo ...and it worked!

The Johnsons Baby wash/shampoo gives my DD dry skin. I don't want to dry her skin out, but I guess it is worth a try, thanks!

2 days and it looks horrible. I am surprised she is not scratching it or something.

Yes, that's how Alex's face was. It was horrible for about 4-5 days and it is just starting to get better now. It's been 8 days now that he has had it.

WOW! Does it just go away on its own? Will it come back again?

My DD is about 7 weeks old and has it on her face and chest and arms. Pedi said to use a mild soap like Cetaphil and it should eventually go away.

DS had baby acne for a good 5 weeks
If it is a heat rash or something like that, you could try putting some corn starch on the area

Emily had REALLY REALLY bad baby acne. The doctor recommended we put cortizone cream on it because it was really red and enflamed.
