Gestational diabetes
Does anyone know the diet of foods they put you on when you have gestational diabetes? I'm nervous that i'm going to develop it .

Re: Gestational diabetes
I had Gestational DIabetes and basically I had a limited carb diet. I tried to eat whole grain carbs when I did have them, like whole wheat bread instead of white, etc.
Let me know if you have any questions -- you can FM me.

Re: Gestational diabetes
I had it. Don't worry or obsess over it until you get there. I never thought I would get it and did. My background didn't really put me in a high risk category. And I do/did eat pretty normal/healthly. Of course had my pregnancy obsessions but nothing outrageous. It is all about how your body reacts processing the sugars.
My diet was 6 small meals a day. No sugar. Low carb. Carb with protein meals. Portions controlled. 4 times a day blood testing. Luckily mine was super controlled by diet. No bagels, pizza, pasta, fast food, candy, cookies, cake, sweets, very limited dairy, etc. I ate a lot of cheese, peanut butter, veggies, meat, small amounts of fruit, wheat bread, etc.
