lamaze?
we asked the dr about lamaze classes today. he said he sisnt too big on them but it might be "interesting" to go to one. Ive heard mixed things - is it a waste of time? found it helpful?

I felt it was a waste of time.. most of the stuff they talked about I have learned from you ladies on here... and we concentrated on breathing for about 5 mins.. Thats my opinion..

what else did you learn other than breathing that you already knew? just trying to see if I need more education or if the ladies on here covered it for me :)

seriously she talked about the mucous plug ( knew about it from here) we watched a movie from the 70's which was about giving birth.. about how the baby was created.. it was like sex ed..
I mean they say you should do it but I am glad I cn say I did at least..
we did a weekender at LIJ...

ugh! both days of the weekend. doesnt sound worth it. but I feel like if I dont Im missing something. I keep hearing what a waste it is though.

I found it to be informative in terms of what will happen when you go into labor and such. Plus they discuss all your pain relieving options, as well as give you a tour of the LD rooms. As far as breathing, it wasn't to informative.

We felt it was a waste of time and money! A whole Saturday for nothing we didn't already know or could not have learned from books, dvds, etc... We went mainly for the breathing and relaxation which we only did maybe 15 minutes of

My doctor also said it wasnt necessary unless i felt more comfortable going. MY friends said it is a waste of money.
I did decide that we are going to go thought cause it is my first and I am nervous so hopefully it will just reassure me things will be ok.
