Advice needed: which cell phone company is best?
Right now I have Sprint and have been happy but want to upgrade to a family plan for my husband and I to share minutes. Looking for some opinions on best service, phones, etc. Any advice? Right now I see T Mobile has a decent plan, but cingular has roll-over minutes, Sprint offers 100 more minutes, etc, so we don't know who to go with. Who do you use and are you happy? Thanks.

Some people wont agree but I LOVE MY TMOBILE!
Never have any problems. My DH has Verizon and cant wait for his contract to be up so he can switch to tmobile. I get better service then him

we have nextel and every month end up fighting with them over something so stupid. Their customer service is ridiculous and their prices are outragous. We have a share plan and every month we go over our minutes. I honestly believe this is the first month we did not go over our minutes and our bill was $125. The plan costs us about $90 but with all the taxes and surcharges it came to $125. One month our bill was over $400.  
I am so anti-nextel. I cant wait till we change. We're looking into Verizon.

We have Cingular.
We never use all of our minutes & end up with so many rollover minutes. We have a family plan & our bill is $88 a month. Neither of us use it during the day when we are at work. Mine doesn't work in my office. He uses his work Nextel for work & I call him on the Cingular.

I've had Verizon since 1998 (it was Bell Atlantic back then!). Will never change, I get excellent service.
My DH on the other hand has had AT&T (which is now Cingular I believe), Sprint and Nextel and hates them all. He always gets cut off and dropped calls. He wants to switch to Verizon like me.

I think it really depends on where you live, and where you'll be using the phone the most.
In my area, TMobile has NO service at all, nextel is the next worst, then cingular, and Verizon is the best.
Where my Aunt lives, Cingular is the best, and Nextel is the worst.
Where area do you live in, or will use the phone the most in?

We have Nextel, but the only reason we have it is because DH gets a deal through work. Nextel's supposed to have great service, but I have trouble getting service a LOT. I feel like I was better off with Verizon and my piece of crap cheesy cell phone. I never had problems with that thing.

We have Cingular because DH gets better service along the south shore then Verizon (our old carrier). I on the other hand preferred Verizon (for in the city), but he uses his phone 100 times more then I do so it's more important for him to get better service.

This is so true.
I've always had Sprint. I've never had any problems....no drop calls, great clarity when using the cell phone line, no static on the lines etc. My husband and I got a family plan and we actually save $$$ by doing this. Plus when we talk to each other is free. It really works for both of us. I only use my cell phone for emergencies but my husband uses it more frequently so it works out pretty good for us. And being able to use the cell phone after 6pm makes a great difference. And with anyone that I speak that have Sprint, we get unlimited free minutes.
I have a friend who lives in the city and says Verizon is really good there. And another friend of mine has Cingular and hates it. Waiting for contract to end so that she can get another cell phone company. She is planning to get Sprint.
