Answering Machine Messages/Voicemail

How long do you leave messages on the answering machine or your voicemail after you've already listened to it?

Re: Answering Machine Messages/Voicemail

it depends on who they are from...at work if i think its important enough I will keep it for 30days....after that our mailbox purges it. At home i try and erase the messages as soon as I listen to them.

Re: Answering Machine Messages/Voicemail

I usually delete right after listening unless I have to write some info down and have no pen

Depends on who I'm talking to. There are times I have left friend's messages as if I were on the phone with them. Chat Icon

Other than that, pretty short & sweet.

Re: Answering Machine Messages/Voicemail

I like to delete them if I've gotten all the information from the call written down. My DH leaves them on there and I don't know which ones he needs or the ones he has listened to Chat Icon

I usually keep them until I don't need them anymore. Junk messages I delete right away, messages where I need to call someone back I keep until I call them back.

Usually ess than a week on our home phone. DH hates leaving messages on the machine. It's a pet peeve of his.

Which reminds me...I have a bunch to delete before he gets mad. Chat Icon
