Monitor Question

I have the Fisher Price Sounds and Lights monitor and my husband thinks there is too much static.

Can you let me know which one you have and how it works.

I have the Sony baby call moniter and I've never had an issue with static. I have had problems with the batteries though (when not plugged in), but never any issues when they're just plugged in.

If it's near a tv, radio or cordless phone it could be picking up interference.

I think you have the newer version of mine.. Try placing it in a different spot.. In our old apartment, if we had it on the one wall, we would pick up the trucks on North ocean avenue.. lol.. We switched the channel and put it on the other wall and it was much better.. HTH

I have the same one and sometimes I get a little more static o nthe one in the living room then the bedroom but I love them

I have the same monitor and when it's plugged in there is no static but when we use batteries there is a lot.

I also have the Sony Baby Call (got the best reviews on Amazon) and I've had no problems with it except just now when we went to NC for the holiday. My ILs live in a new development and another mommy there said she's gone through a bunch of monitors because she had static problems with all of them there.

Other than that - no issues with static.
