I just had four "contractions" in a hour - UPDATED (3/30)
I have had sharp pains due to the baby's head putting pressure on my perineum. My doctor said that this along with some cramps are normal, as long as you don't get more than four an hour. Well I just had four in one hour and call the Dr. He told me to rest for another hour and time them again, if I have four more in an hour, then I have to come into his office.
Girls please say prayers that this is nothing and that Gracie stays in the womb for at least four more weeks. I am really starting to freak out now.
UPDATED: It happened again and the doctor told me to be on bed rest today, keep timing the pains and call him back at 3PM. If the contractions become 5-7 minutes apart to meet him at the hospital (he is on call tonight).
UPDATED (3/30): Thanks ladies, we are both OK. I went to the doctor last night and got back home late. They hooked me up to the contraction monitor for a hour and determined it was Braxton Hicks. The contractions were to erratic to be real contractions. I also had an internal exam (my first) my cervix is closed and Gracie is almost "engaged". The internal was not bad at all. I just felt a little sore after it. Gracie is low and her head is down. They want me to time the BH contractions and unless they are 5-7 minutes apart for an hour then I don't need to be worried. I am also starting to see the OB every week because she is so low. They just want to make she is does not come too early. I am so relieved and thankful that everything is ok. Next week we get our final sono!  Thank you for all of your prayers and  's... they worked!

I hope everything is OK, I'm sure you will be fine, your body is just practicing 
My doctor told me 6 or more an hour or 10 minutes apart, then call her.
I had 7 in one hour the other night but I didnt bother calling because they were so irregular and I would have one every 5 minutes and then wouldnt have one for 14 mins. I knew it was BH.
Dont worry, Im sure she isnt coming out just yet!

It's probably just BH. Don't worry too much about it, try to rest as much as you can.

I'm sure it's just BH. Some days it feels like I'm having them non stop, some days not at all. It was the same way with my last pregnancy as well.
Feel better, and try not to stress yourself.

I know it's hard, and how scary those contractions can be, but just follow dr's orders, and drink LOTS of water.

Just got off the phone with the doctor again. They want me to come in ASAP; I am leaving now. Girls, please pray that everything is OK. I am sure it is BH contractions and no big deal, but I figure I am better off safe than sorry. I will keep you updated.
