Xpost - Moms, did you cruise while pregnant?
Hubby and I are torn about booking a cruise during my February break. We will be TTC soon, but lord knows if we will be successful right away.
Am I totally stupid for even trying to go away?

If I had to do it over again, I would definitely opt for a nice, long vacation before TTC'ing. We went to Vegas with friends a few months before, but just for a few days.

Thanks Barbara! I am most worried about cruising while pregnant. Unfortunately with school starting, my vacation time is severly limited.

I would check with the various cruise companies because I do not think they allow anyone pregnant past 27 weeks. If you will not be that far along then I would go. We went to Napa/Sanoma Valley and San Francisico when I was 16 weeks for 4 days and it was really nice to get away.

Last summer we cruised to Alaska - I was 4 months pregnant and I had no problems. I even went glacier hiking there!

I say go!!!! You wouldn't be out of your 2nd tri by then ( ), so you should be fine to travel. Just make sure you buy the insurance!

I cruise during both pregnancies. My first I was 5 mos preggo and cruise to Bermuda. The second I was 3 mos preggo and cruise to the Southern Carbbean and also flew to San Juan - both times I was fine. I say go for it.

We cruised right as we were ready to TTC. Low and behold turns out we were already pregnant on the cruise and didn't know it  so the baby got a terrific vacation and some really amazing excursions. DD got to swim with the dolphins b4 she was even born

We went on a cruise when I was 11-12 weeks pregnant and had a great time. Luckily I didn't really suffer from morning sickness so I felt fine, but I couldn't imagine havng m/s and being on a boat! That being said, I'd still go if I were you. I always feel that you shouldn't plan around things that may or may not happen. It was really nice to take one last vacation by ourselves before DS arrived.
