Drunken pilots stealing planes...idiot drivers....add this one to the list:

One of my Dad's laundromats (in Medford) was broken into about 2 1/2 hours ago - someone (a group, we're assuming) CUT A HOLE IN THE (tar) ROOF OF THE BUILDING (it's a shopping center, not a freestanding place) and lowered themselves with ROPE into the locked laundromat office. (drop ceiling)

There are metal gates on the front and back doors, so of course, the only place in is through the roof, right? Ugh, morons...

Of course, in the area of Medford where this store is located, there is an alarm system in place, and as soon as the idiot's feet crossed the motion sensor in the office, the alarm started wailing, and they had to pull out.

The got NOTHING! And Dad got a big hole in his roof.

WHO does that?! Who plans out where the office is within the store, so he can cut directly into it? This room is SO SMALL - only about 4'x4'...it's literally a closet turned into a secure home for the back of the change machine. WHO lowers himself, a la Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible, with ROPES from the roof?!?!

This is a family laundromat, not a bank or something....what is WRONG with people!?

Sorry so long-winded. I've been up and dealing w/ this crap since 4:30am.

Does anyone know if there's rain in the forecast? Or someone that can patch a roof superfast?

wow that's bad! i am sorry that happen to you and your dad. i wish i knew of someone who could help but i don't i am sorry! but if this means anything to you i don't think there is gonna be any rain till possible sunday! good luck!
