At 30 weeks is cramping normal?

I seem to be getting crampy pretty often and I don't want to call my doctor unless I have to.

Thanks!

I don't know if it's normal, but you should always feel that you can call the doctor no matter what the problem/question is. I'm sure they get plenty of calls and expect them. Good luck.

I would say it's normal, I often feel crampy. They're not painful, just a little uncomfortable. If you're concerned though there's no harm in calling the Dr.

I've been feeling crampy too. I feel my stomach to make sure its not hardening. They told me those are contractions.

im at 24 weeks and have been getting cramping and pains and my doctor told me since the baby and everything looks fine, that its most likely just braxton hicks and can last all the way till labor.

Re: At 30 weeks is cramping normal?

I have been cramping since about 30 weeks, but my cramping has gotten much more intense the past week or so (I'm 36+ weeks)

My doctor told me today that as long as the cramping isn't accompanied by any leaking of fluid or bleeding, its perfectly OK. It's just our bodies practicing for the big time - labor ! Chat Icon

I get this too - drinking a lot of water/gatorade to rehydrate myself usually makes it go away.
