Cord blood banking
I have recently requested information from some companies on cord blood banking. I heard from several people that you pay a one time enrollment fee of about $2,000 and then a monthly charge of about $125.
My question is, do you pay the monthly fee forever? Until, god forbid, you need to use it?
$125 per month from now until whenever seems a bit ridiculous??

I don't have to pay a MONTHLY fee. You may have that confused.. I only pay YEARLY. I would look into that. Paying 125/month for 20 + years is ridiculous.

I think her question was more how long can they store that cord blood for you? Is it as long as you pay the annual fee or only a certain amount of years? I'm curious myself.

They can store it for as long as you want them to. 1, 2, 10 or 20 years.. it's entirely up to you.

i am paying $145 monthly...i chose to do monthly payments instead of one lump some of money..I think they store it until the child is 18., then you have the choice to renew or not. in the monthly fee is also the $10 storage fee....
