THis just happened out here in RI yesterday...

Child Stopped Breathing On Way To Hospital

COVENTRY, R.I. -- Police released new information Thursday about a Coventry infant who was apparently killed after an encounter with the family's Siberian husky.
According to an autopsy report, the 6-day-old girl had multiple dog bites and died of internal injuries and bleeding.
Investigators said the girl's mother left the child alone for a moment Wednesday to get some juice. She returned when she heard crying and found the newborn on the floor.
Police said family members did not think the injuries were serious, but they decided to take the child to the hospital. Family members told police the child stopped breathing on the way.
The animal is still being held by animal control.

I Know! I went to vist my friend in the hospital with her newborn who was 3 days old, and I just cannot imagine

that is TERRIBLE. I wonder if they ever had a previous problem with the dog and other kids.....:

None of the news said anything....
Its a possibility....and I am sure the dog was probably jealous...or mnaybe thought the baby was a toy....no idea...
its just so heartbreaking

What's up w/ still holding on to the dog. Obviously, he killed the child he should be put to sleep!!
