Baby Shower Gift Ideas
My friend's baby shower is in three weeks and I am stumped on an idea for her. I got her gifts from her registry but I want to do something special for her as well...something creative and memorable. Her mom made a gorgeous scrapbook so that idea is out. I thought that maybe everyone here would have some ideas - things they ahve done, seen or received.

I know that I would love a diaper cake. Maybe put a bunch of onsies and wash cloths and blankets?

What about making up a bag for her with soaps, lotion, a robe, slippers, etc...stuff she can take to the hospital that will make her more comfortable.

i like the hospital bag idea. or you can also do "coupons" for a dinner, night out, cleaning or something on you.
she may never use it but if you are sincere it will mean a lot.

Absolutely delicious is the way to describe this gift...and won't stick to your hips! This "hoagie" may look good enough to eat, but this sandwich is full of goodies for the new baby! Unique Baby Shower idea ~ doubles as a gift AND centerpiece decoration!

i would have loved to get some gift cards to area restaurants. The first couple weeks at home after everyone leaves were brutal for DH and I to try and whip up some dinner.
I was exhausted and still in pain, and he was just plain exhausted.
Maybe that with a cute poem or saying in a card?

You could also make a clothesline.. w/different outfits.. etc. startw/ socks,bibs,undershirts, onesies, and then color coordinate the rest.. I did this for my SIL for her shower and it was really cute.. I had stocked up on the clothes though through her entire pregnancy I think.. so it was really long.. and I had extra clothes that didnt fit too..

my sister did this for me and it was awesome...
In a bag she loaded up:
--outfits for the hospital (pajamas and shirts)
--underwear (LARGE  )
--slippers
--candy to s uck on for labor
--gift certificate for a mani/pedi
--hair ties
--lotions
--bath soaps
--shampoo/conditioner
I feel like there was a lot more...but it was so special that she thought of me and what I would need, it made me cry...

I just finished my laundry line for my friends shower this Saturday! I cannot wait to give it to her! It came out adorable and there is so much stuff on this freakin line, its soo heavy! 
I put it all in a baby wicker basinette and wrapped it in tooling and decorated the tooling with some baby clothes pins.
I also have been taking pictures of her since she got pregnant (every month) and have made her a scrap book with every pic of her each month getting bigger and bigger.
