How does your dog react to other dogs?

Everytime we see another dog on a walk Katlyn flips out... she pulls really hard on the leash to try to go sniff the other dog... to the point where she almost chokes herself

She just wants to sniff and then be on her way, but one time a boxer she was sniffing snapped at her, so I try to keep her away from other dogs.

Some of the dogs go crazy too, while others just kind of ignore her and walk by. Just curious as to how your dogs react, and how i can possibly break her of this.

does she wear a collar or a harness for walking?

if youre not using a harness DEF get one.

as for my guys. lukin goes crazy walking if he sees another dog and he has taught tinky that as well. dharma could care less.

We use a collar, but I'll defintely look in to getting a harness - thanks!

its easier to manoove (sp?) them and also, collars can cause their trachea to collapse.

Katie just wags her tail and whines. Depending on the dog, Annie will either just look and whine a little or she will go nuts barking like she owns the block.

my dog LOVES other dogs, he just doesn't like people. seriously, it really takes him time to warm up to people. once he does, he is fine.
