I heard on our local WB news that the new network that is merging WB and UPN may not cancel the show. As of last week, they didn't make a final decision. They said that the show has pretty good ratings even before the announced it was the final season, so it may be worth it to keep it.

I think the actors' contracts are up - if they choose to continue, i'm sure they'll want a lot more $!!

I think this show is ready to be over with. I just want 1 more season of Gilmore Girls.
I read that it is coming back for one more season but that Amy Sherman Palladino (the creator and writer) and her hubby will not be back for the final season.

That is true, the new guy worked on Spin City. I wonder how it will be next year.

yeah, I heard that too. It was getting too expensive for the WB, but the new network will take that chance, b/c they need something with good ratings to attract viewers to the new network.
I'm ready to say goodbye--I really am.
