Am I wierd to feel this way?
I am close with my BIL, he is like my own brother. He is 9 years younger than my DH, and I have known him since he's 12 (he's 19 now). He just started dating for the first time, and now when I see him and his girlfriend (of 2 or 3 weeks) kiss or show affection, I get very creeped out It's like its wierd to think of him that way. Plus, he sort of acts young, so it just makes the whole thing wierd. I just get really uncomfortable seeing them together like that.
Plus, this weekend DH and I are going to my parents' house for a bbq in MA and invited my ILs. My ILs can't come, but my BIL wants to come and wants his girlfriend to come. My parents don't have a ton of room, so we would all have to sleep together in the family room, either on couches or sprawled out on the floor. As is I don't like sharing rooms with couples, and I am just not looking forward to this.
Is it wierd of me to feel this way? I guess I'll get used to it, but for now it's so new and unconfortable.

Re: Am I wierd to feel this way?
I don't think it's weird, it can be hard to watch "your kids" grow up. I had a hard time seeing my cousin with his GF. I looked at him and thought: OH MY GOODNESS- he is a MAN now, not a snot covered little kid. Takes some getting used to, but it will happen.
That being said- I don't like sharing rooms with anyone either. Is it possible to get a hotel room?

i think seeing anyone youve pictured as a "baby" and young makes it weird to see them growing up. im sure youll get used to it in no time.

No, my parents really like when we stay at the house, and since my BIL and his GF are young, I could never ask them to pay for a hotel room.
