PLEASE DON'T touch my daughters face or hands!!!
Why is it that people who just met DD feel it's acceptable to touch her face or hands where she will then shove in her mouth??? I know that catching a cold is inevitable one day but why can't people keep their hands off my DD  We (the family) are very conscious of washing our hands but these people I have NO clue where their hands have been! Even when I have her in the sling people try to touch her

I would never touch a baby's face, but if she extends her hands towards me, I would probably touch it - shake to say hi or something....
Also - remember - babies build their immune systems by being exposed to as many germs as possible! That means exposure to the outsude world and people....The more you wash and anti-bacterialize everything, the weaker kids' immune systems can be!
My mom was a hygeine freak, and when I was younger, I could never fight colds on my own - I always needed penicillin - my immune system didnt get strong until I was older and exposed to children and people all day...
So think of this as a blessing to your child's immune system!

My mom was and still is a total hygiene freak but we have the opposite situation as kids, we all were rarely sick

I think you should walk around with a squirt bottle & spray them if they touch her. .
I agree on the exposure to germs being good for them, but it's plain rude to touch a baby without permission.

I heard the same thing that babies should be exposed to some germs so that they developa good immune system. I do not know if that is true
Regardless, NO stranger should be touching your child's face

I can't believe strangers touch her. That's just rude!! I've had alot of people hover over her and tell me how cute she is but no one touches. I wipe her down all day anyway. Nothing wrong with being a bit of a germaphobe..... People need to keep their hands to themselves!
