I am on LIW more than LIF, but I ahve a question for those on here...
Is it possible for ones period to be late, due to stree if on BCP? TIA

To answer your question, yes, but if you're very regular...be careful it could be something else! 
I hope you haven't been sick and taken antibiotics, if so that nulls the BCP.

I was on the pill for a long time and when i was stressed it was a day or so late.
But more than that...
i would be checking if it is something else

Again...
No, I have not been on meds or antibiotics. I was due to get it LAST Tuesday (12/20). I took to tests, 1 Sunday (12/24) afternoon and 1 first thing Monday (12/25) morning. Both were clearly neg. I am not paranoid yet. I made a gyno appt for Thursday am. Thanks.

My friend just got her AF. After 2 years!!!! She was so happy. The Dr said it was part of her body reacting to being off the pill & having a babay & going back to it. Your body is crazy sometimes.

Absolutely!! I've been on the Pill a very long time and lately my period has been all messed up. I'm actually having a sonogram tomorrow morning just to make sure there are no cysts.

I've been late for stress by as long as a week.
It could be stress or even a hormone issue - my co-worker didn't get her period in over a year due to a hormone imbalance. Once she was put on meds, got her period. She has a 3 year old now.

I've been off the pill for almost a year and I haven't gotten my period for over 6 months!!! So now on provera and hopefully will get it!! So yes it can get messed up!!

I skipped a whole month after being on the pill for 6 years and never being late at all. I was not PG. So it's possible that you are just skipping a month.

Thank you ALL for your posts!! I went to the Dr this morning. I am NOT preg. I am SUCH a goofball; as soon as I don't get my period I instantly think I am preg. However, the Dr said after one is on BCP for a number of years, their uterus lining can get "so" thin that there is nothing to shed. ALSO, in January 2005 I switched from Ortho Tri-Cyclen to Ovcon 35, which has a lower dose of hormones. I did notice that my periods were getting lighter and lighter, but didn't associate it with the change in BCP. So, with a combination of change in BCP and being on BCP for about 8 yrs, that was why I did not get my period this month. Dr did give me an rx for Premarin, to help thicken the lining and so I get my period next month.  and  at the same time. I am eager to have kids, but did not want to put off the wedding any longer.
Again, thank you ALL!! I hope to be able to say in 6 months that I AM preg. FH and I want to have kids right away.
