Ok, you may all think I'm crazy...but, will I KNOW when my water breaks???
And, the reason why I'm asking is because of my other post about the Group B Strep...
I can't help but be a little worried now that once my water breaks, I need to get to the hospital ASAP because I'll need the antibiotics...
I'm sure when it happens, I'll know...but, can some of you please reassure me that when my water breaks, I will DEFINITELY know.

It's me again....
The day I went into labor, I woke up in the morning and noticed that it was a little wetter than usual down there (sorry...I know that's totally TMI, but I don't know how else to describe it). I didn't get a "gush" like I thought I would. Anyway, after about an hour, I kept feeling more and more "water" so I called my doc. They told me to come in in an hour...the rest is history. 
My suggestion is to just call your doc if you feel anything out of the ordinary as far as discharge is concerned. And don't stress too much about getting to the hospital...when I got there, they had me wait in the waiting room for 3.5 hours before they gave me a room!

i have had 5 kids and my water never broke when i was in labor the dr. had to brake them all times

Is your baby head down already? Andrew wasn't, he was breech, so when my water broke, there was no mistaking it. It gushed all out like someone opened a garden hose between my legs.  Thankfully it was 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday and I was home.
I have heard that if the baby is head down, it plugs the flow a little and its harder to tell if you've broken your water.

Mine too! And I kept gushing up until delivery! There was NO MISTAKE!

I felt the same way, how would I know if my water broke. Well you definately will. It was a huge gush... and it wouldn't stop.
If it does happen I had those pads (like wee wee pads for dogs) that I put under my sheets just in case. When we went to the hospital, I kept a towel in between my legs, and on the carseat so I wouldn't ruin anything...

YES!!! My baby is head down already!!! I guess I'm going to have to be really careful these next few weeks...
I have been experiencing some mucusy like discharge as of this morning....

If your water breaks, you don't need to kill yourself to get there. I didn't know that my water broke with any of my kids. The most important thing you DO do is to be sure to tell the hospital when you arrive that you have Group B strep so that they give you an IV.
That antibiotic IV is to protect the baby from getting Group B in the birth canal when you deliver. Up until you give birth, that lil bean is as secure and snug as a bug. Good luck!

When my water broke - I wasn't sure. But it was very light. The first trickle - I was like wow that is different and kind of ignored it. When it happened again, I went online and grabbed my books to find out more about water breaking. I was three weeks early so I wasn't expecting it. At my appt only a few days before there were no signs of labor and even that morning someone looked at me and said you have a long way to go. Then it kind of gushed but still not what I expected. I called my dr anyway and said I think my water broke. They got a chuckle out of that. I went to the hospital shortly after all this and as the dr went to check it our when I got there - it gushed a lot more. (I also had Strep B).
