Got a gift from one of my new neighbors
I didnt think people still did that. So far I have met two of my new neighbors, one was the sellers real estate agent, and one came over today to give me a dozen crispy cream donuts and a card. She lives across the street...She told me to tell Danielle for us to come over there for a drink or if we need to borrow some tools. She said that we picked a really good block, and that all the neighbors are really nice.....Someone also took my garbage pails in today, no idea who though.

nope not moved in yet. I was at the house doing gardening, Pulling out weeds, fertilizing and watering the lawn and then pulling apart shelving from the closet that we are going to expand to make a walk in....And she just came over with donuts in hand...They were yummy...

That is great!!! We do t hat here too!!! we just had a bunch of new neighbors, I took in the neighbors garbage pales too, no biggie, it is very very friendly on my block, which is great, I know someone is always watching the house!!! neighbors are good security but we have ADT too! Im happy for you Scott, it really does make a difference and good feeling when you buy a house and have good neighbors!!!

Nooo i didnt air rate oops....I didnt see the rest of the thread until after i got home from the house last night. I left work at 12:30, doing the same today and i am off tomorrow yeah....
I fertilized the grass, Then Watered the lawn, Pulled out weeds from the front where the bushes are, so we can put the black mulch in. I also pulled all the stones out from the front of the flower beds, because we have a project in mind for them, pulled apart some shelving to prepare the closets downstairs for the work we are going to do to them. One is getting closed off and the other is getting blown out to be a walk in closet / pantry.
The neighbor that came by and my next door neighbor both said what a great block it is that we are going to be living on. I am so glad to have good neighbors. Also there is a house two down from me that was just sold - so new neighbors will be moving in there soon too. I was actually suprised to get a gift from a neighbor. I didnt think people did that anymore.....I am grateful that she did bring over the donuts, because they were yummy

Today I spoke to one neighbor for the first time - actually he spoke to me. I've lived here 2 years and have said hello, never got a response. So this morning he runs out of his house and says "Hey Ma'am, would you keep your dog from going on my lawn??!" I was like, "Nice to meet you too!!".
My dog did a DRIBBLE on the grass between the street and sidewalk, belongs to the Town anyway

That's so nice! One of our neighbors walked over a bottle of wine and a card to my husband before we moved in while he was working on the lawn. There really are very sweet people out there!

Is this the guy who owns the house that's for sale??? If I lived there, I'd NEVER scold Ebony.

Don't I wish!! No, he is diagonally across from me to the left, and puts up HUGE OBNOXIOUS decorations for every holiday, takes over the neighbor's lawn with his giant blow-ups..Looks so tacky!! I wanted to tell him if he keeps his gross decos. out of my eyesight, I'll keep my dog off the strip of land that belongs to the town in front of his house!
Donna you should buy that house...
