What do you do when you argue with DH over money every day? How do you stop the tension?

Not to make him the bad guy, sales are getting slower and slower every month and he's getting more and more stressed out about it. I told him today not to let this job kill him. He doesn't want to leave, but it's so stressful.

Money is something that we argue about and its *****!! Maybe try and figure out how to cut back on some expenses for a bit!

Thanks for the it's more an issue of the mortgage than anything else, once that's paid there's not much left! It's tough to live here, we have a small ranch and although we squeek by every month, we really just squeek by.

Thanks, I didn't mean to wine, I know I'm not alone with the money issue thing. I've done the whole pb&j's for lunch thing everyday and stayed in every weekend before, DH not used to it. I grew up in a small apartment in a bad area in the city and my mom really struggled to keep the bills paid. DH grew up on long island in a house and is not used to having money issues. I guess what I'm trying to say is if he weren't so stressed I wouldn't be. My mom always told us that money won't make you happy and we (my sisters and I) did have a great childhood, but it sure is nice to have the extras too . I just want DH to be happy.

you're not whining at all!!! feel free to vent away. Theres a reason that money is considered one of the biggest stressors in a relationship.. because it IS stressful... especially when its not there. and its hard witha house... theres no doubt abut that... But, it WILL get easier. i hope you & your DH can work through it and find a way to both be happy
