4mth old rolling onto tummy

...and blows a gasket because she cannot get back

I know its all part of her development etc..but how long before she figures out how to get back?

I have spent the last 45 mins rolling her back as she cries so hard when she ends up on her tummy..

Also any other good ways to entertain her at this stage?

Oh - I remember that stage - it took Kevin about a full week or so before he realized he liked being on his tummy!!!!! It was one sleepless week for us - it also happened at 4 months!!!

Lots of play mat time!!!

Thanks Niecey....its actually on her play mat she is doing this as she doesnt do it in her cradle - she gets on her side but never makes it all the way over onto her tummy...so I guess I just have to ride it out on the play mat until she learns how to get herself back....

She gets so frustrated with herself and I roll her back and then off she goes again!!

She wont sit in her bouncy chair as she wriggles as far down as she will go and then screams to get out....

Any other ideas? Thinking of getting her the bumbo seat or an exersaucer - think her head is still a bit wobbly though....

oh - kevin started his in his crib since her had outgrew his bassinet by 4 months. hopefully she will learn to roll over herself soon or like her belly before she does it all night long like Kevin did! It took Kevin a full month to learn to roll back himself.

I started Kevin in the bumbo around 3.5 months and the exersaucer around 4.5 month so she may be ready for them..sounds like she wants to get up and go!!! The exersaucer you can always stuff a blanket in the seat to help support her. try it out and see!!! good luck!!

I think I will get an exersaucer and bumbo today.....cannot spend the next month rolling her back....I wonder where she gets her lack of patience from!!!
