So I have my gest diabetes appt in the afternoon!
So I have to eat during the day......anyone know what are some "safe" foods that won't turn to sugar?

I had GD..yogurt needs to be LIGHT, not regular. Yogurt has a ton of carbs so you have to be careful with it. Get a Light and Lovely one.
Actually even chicken can effect your insilin levels. If you need help please let me know. I was on 4 shots a day and a very specific diet. It is hard IMO so if you need support I am here!!!

So if I had a light yogurt at lunch, what else could I have so that I won't fail the test?

I would eat a salad with protien (like chicken). I would not eat carbs all day. Passing the test is determined by how your body reacts to that drink theey give you, but sugars that you have eaten during the day can effect the test. That is what my Dr. told me.
Honestly, When I took the 3 hour I did not eat all morning. I went in fot the test first thing and ate light the night before.

good luck to you! if you need any info feel free to ask- i'm not a gestational diabetic but i am a juvenile diabetic...so i've been doing this for 15 years now!!
eat anything with protein in it...and the more fat the better (fat breaks down any sugar in carbs). turkey, eggs (an omelette maybe), have wheat not white bread....cheese is good....if theres anything else you need let me know!!

Good Luck! I failed my 1 hour, and all I ate was 2 plain waffles 3 hours before. My doc specifically told me not to fast for the 1-hour. For the 3-hour, I took it first thing in the morning and did not eat from the night before. I passed it with no problem.

I was told to eat nothing with sugar in it and was suggested protein. I had a scrambled egg sandwich with cheese and passed
