Stupid ped told me to put baby oil on Andrew's forehead...
because she said he has slight cradle cap there. She knows how sensitive his skin is but I listen to her. Well, he has a rash over his little forehead
I should have gone with my instinct and left it alone

I used head and shoulders for cradle cap it worked awesome. Bryan had it pretty bad too.

you're supposed to only use it on the scalp.. massage for a few miutes and then clean..
i did it for my dd a couple of weeks ago and it did help at first, but cradle cap came back a couple of days later..
i use aquaphor now, works well on scalp AND makes her skin nice.

I used olive oil - worked like a charm. Massaged it in, combed out the fliakes then spent the next 20 minutes trying to get it out.

Thats why I never used oil on Julia's head or hair for that reason, I just left that cradle crap alone, and it went away.

I did the olive oil and it worked really well. I just dabbed a little on his scalp and massaged it, combed out the flakes.

CVS sells a soft brush/sponge cleaner for cradle cap. You add in whatever cream soap oil that works for your childs skin and it help loosen it. Both my DS and DD had extremely sensitive skin and this worked so well. I'll try and find the picture of it and who makes and and post it.

I used to treat Emme's cradle cap and it would make her hair greasy for like 3 days and then it would just come back again after a week. Eventually I just left it alone and it went away on it's own at around 6 months.
