I have my Pre-Op today at 1:30...
What do they do exactly for the pre-op? I had a pre-op for my C-section, but I don't know if it's the same. Thanks!

They just go over medical history...basic questions, height, weight, etc. It's easy...relax.

Don't know if I am late in answering but you will have blood work and an EKG. Usually when the results of the blood work come back you go back to the doctor for a medical clearance. Thats what we do with our patients.

Thanks everyone!
It was pretty quick and painless. I had bloodwork done, and the basic listen to the heart and lungs, height and weight, and mostly paperwork.
I'm just scared from the Living Will paperwork they give you to fill out if you choose to.  They really make an outpatient procedure feel like a dangerous operation. I'm so worried about something bad happening now! 
I still don't know what time the surgery is on Friday. I can't call until 1:30pm today. 
Overall, it only took an hour.

I'm glad things went well. The Living Will is just precautionary and nothing to worry about. I'm sure the surgery will go well and you will be feeling a lot better.

You are going to be just fine, Melissa. I am a HUGE wimp and really the lap was not nearly as bad as I envisioned... I was feeling back to normal for the most part within 24 hrs.
Please keep us posted and let us know how you are doing
