What to serve for Christmas dinner. . . .

What are some things that people expect to be served for Christmas dinner? Give me all the suggestions that you have. Thanks!

Expect? My mother and MIL both make Italian dishes (ie, stuffed shells, baked ziti) with meatballs, sausage, pork.... stuff like that. I'm not sure if people who are not italian expect to have that. I like the ham idea though.Chat Icon

Our family has an italian course and then an american course. This year I am serving manicotti with meatballs/sausage/pork, bread & salad and then we are having turkey with all of the trimmings.

I am looking forward to going back home to TN for Christmas this year. I haven't been home for Christmas since I moved to NYC 8 yrs ago. There are a few things that I expect to see on the table. Broccoli casserole, watergate salad, vegetarian stuffing and fried okra. For dessert pineapple upside down cake and chocolate krinkle cookies.

well we usually have ham and some other polish dishes like perogi's stuffed cabbage keilbasa, sour kraut and fresh keilbasa we have two types of soup borsh wich is beet soup and mushroom soup. we have all the salads potato macaroni and cole slaw. THere are other things that I can't think of right now



For x-mas eve we go to FH family and they have a bunch of seafood and some italian dishes
