Adding another dog to the family

We currently have a yellow lab whom we adore and as much as we'd love another lab we do have constraints as my house and yard aren't that big.

I'd love a pug but I don't know how they are with kids and where to find a reputable breeder should we choose to get one.

Any help/info you girls have is much appreciated!!!!!

This should help. I went to the Pug website under "breeder referrals" and there is a ton of information that will probably help.

Re: Adding another dog to the family

My SIL has 2 pugs - they are very sweet but super hyper. She does have a little baby girl (18 months) and they seem fine with her. Though, I get worried sometimes since they jump so much, but they apparenlty are very good with her. She even tries to ride them like a pony sometimes and I don't think they do anything other then try to run away.

I have a pug and I can tell you they are great with everyone and even children. They do need allot of attention just like a child. So time it very demanding from them I can tell u that.
I also belong to a pug rescue group called Precious Pug Rescue and Adoption. If you would like more information please let me know!!

We had a pug and she was the sweetest dog ever! Great personality. Gentle with children. However- she had all the negatives that this breed can have- she was slow to housebreak and had many health problems and she shed year round. Most of her health problems i attribute to her being overweight(my Grandma kept feeding her) which is common with this breed.
